Dr. Hong
Dr. Hong became fascinated by Orthodontics from an early age. As a child, he himself underwent two phases of orthodontic treatment, during which time Dr. Hong witnessed firsthand the miraculous movement of his formerly less-than-perfect teeth into a confident and brilliant smile. It was this newly gained confidence from a newly created smile that inspired Dr. Hong to pursue Orthodontics, so that he too would be able to give others that same exhilarating feeling that comes with owning a beautiful smile.Dr. Hong went on to graduate with honors from the University of California - Los Angeles, after which he earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California - Los Angeles' School of Dentistry. He then graduated from Temple University with a Certificate in Orthodontics as well as a Master's degree in Oral Biology.
Dr. Hong is a Board Certified Orthodontist and a member of several dental and orthodontic associations such as American Association of Orthodontists, California Dental Association, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, Orange County Dental Society and American Dental Association. Dr. Hong is also actively involved in various community services, which includes serving on the advisory board for the Assistance League of Long Beach - Orthodontic Center, a group who provides orthodontic care to low-income families with no insurance.
Dr. Hong offers the latest in orthodontic care for both adults and children by combining a fun and caring atmosphere with state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to help create beautiful smiles that will last a lifetime.
Dr. Hong is a Southern California native and currently resides in Irvine with his wife, Youna. When Dr. Hong is not caring for his patients, he and his wife enjoy golf, tennis, snowboarding and traveling.
